A Work In Progress...

in his mind's eye, he contemplates

ever so cautiously the clay before him

then with deft hands of an artisan,

he gently explores and ponders the possibilities,

albeit from afar, this new medium he lovingly calls

his Sweet Texas Girl

over and over again in his mind he

turns, repositions, then plans

in anticipation for the day he will

throw this piece of clay

onto the potter's wheel

molding her, shaping her into a work of art,

an exquisite masterpiece

for all time

to be admired, loved, and cherished

like none before her
